Lizben is an international architectural practice providing architectural design, planning applications, development permits and consultancy for clients across the United Kingdom and Alberta, Canada.
Founded in the United Kingdom in 2013, Lizben began with a simple mission: to deliver exceptional architectural design supported by technical excellence, honest advice and outstanding client service. Since then the practice has evolved into an international consultancy, serving clients across the United Kingdom and Alberta, Canada, while maintaining the same commitment to quality, integrity and innovation.
Our journey has been shaped by more than two decades of architectural experience across three countries. From residential homes and commercial developments to educational facilities, healthcare projects, places of worship and community buildings, we have worked on projects of varying scale and complexity — always with one objective: to create architecture that adds lasting value.
Every project begins with a vision. Whether you are planning a home extension, a custom home, a commercial renovation, a property redevelopment or a community development, we believe the design process should be collaborative, transparent and genuinely enjoyable. With more than 20 years of professional experience spanning the United Kingdom, Canada and Nigeria, Elizabeth has built a reputation for architectural solutions that balance creativity, technical excellence, regulatory compliance and client aspirations.
As Founder and Principal Architect of Lizben Architecture Inc. in Alberta and Lizben Consult Ltd. in the United Kingdom, she works with homeowners, property developers, businesses, community organisations and faith-based institutions to turn ideas into practical, buildable and inspiring spaces. Her expertise covers architectural design, planning and zoning approvals, development and building permit applications, residential extensions, new-build homes, commercial developments, renovations and contract administration.
Her architectural journey began with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Architecture in 1999 and a Master of Science in Architecture in 2003, both from Ambrose Alli University, Nigeria. She later studied at the University of East London, The Bartlett School of Architecture (University College London), and Toronto Metropolitan University in Ontario, Canada.
Throughout her career she has worked with respected organisations including the University of Surrey, Architects Co-Partnership, Devereux Architects, KICC Limited, TOCA Architects and Manu Chugh Architect. Her portfolio spans residential developments, commercial buildings, educational facilities, healthcare projects, restaurants, correctional facilities, places of worship and community developments.
She is particularly recognised for securing planning approvals across numerous local authorities in the United Kingdom, and for guiding clients through complex planning, zoning and permit processes. She now brings the same commitment to clients across Alberta.
Elizabeth believes great architecture begins with listening. Every project starts with understanding the client’s vision, budget and long-term goals — resulting in spaces that are functional, sustainable and designed to enrich the lives of the people who use them.

Founded in 2013, Lizben Consult Ltd. is the United Kingdom arm of the practice, providing architectural design, planning consultancy and construction support for homeowners, developers, businesses, churches and community organisations.
With extensive experience navigating the UK planning system, we specialise in securing planning permission and delivering architectural solutions that respond to both client aspirations and local authority requirements — from home extensions and loft conversions to new-build developments, commercial projects and community facilities.
Our portfolio includes residential developments, educational facilities, healthcare projects, restaurants, places of worship and commercial buildings across the United Kingdom. We have delivered planning applications across numerous local planning authorities and understand the importance of balancing design quality, planning policy, sustainability and construction feasibility.
