Who we are
Lizben operates as Lizben Consult Ltd. (registered in England & Wales, company number 08675083, registered office 34 St Andrews Close, London SE28 8NZ) and as Lizben Architecture Inc. (3133 Kostash Green, Edmonton SW, Alberta T6W 4Y3, Canada). Each entity is the data controller for the personal information it holds.

What we collect
Information you give us. When you complete the enquiry form, email us or call, we receive your name, email address, telephone number, project location and whatever you tell us about your project. If you become a client we will also hold information necessary to deliver the work — property details, correspondence, drawings, surveys and invoicing records.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the site that referred you. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you have asked for. To administer contracts, issue invoices and keep the records that professional practice and our insurers require. To comply with legal and regulatory obligations. To maintain and improve the website.
We rely on your consent where you have submitted an enquiry, on the performance of a contract where you are a client, and on our legitimate interests in running a professional practice. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies allow the site to function and remember your cookie preference. Analytics cookies, if you accept them, help us understand which pages are useful. You can decline analytics cookies using the notice shown on your first visit, and you can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Declining will not affect your use of the site.
Third parties
We use Google Fonts to serve the typefaces on this site and Google Maps to display our office locations; both are provided by Google and involve a request to Google’s servers. We may share your information with professional advisers, consultants and contractors where this is necessary to deliver your project, and with authorities where we are required to do so by law. Any third party acting on our behalf is bound to process your information only as instructed.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted within 24 months. Project records are retained for 15 years from completion, reflecting the limitation periods that apply to construction professionals and the requirements of our professional indemnity insurance. Accounting records are retained for the period required by law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed about how your information is used, to obtain a copy of it, to have inaccurate information corrected, and — where no overriding obligation requires us to retain it — to have it erased. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, ask us to restrict processing, request portability of information you provided, and withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@lizbenconsult.com. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) in the United Kingdom, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca) in Canada.
International transfers & security
Because we operate in both the United Kingdom and Canada, your information may be transferred between the two. Both jurisdictions maintain comprehensive data protection regimes and any transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, though no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any material change will be reflected on this page. This version was last reviewed in 2026.
